How my instrument produces sound

My instrument produces sound by tapping the cans with a stick making the cans vibrate. This causes a sound wave to be formed and the sound wave travels out the bottom of the cans and to your ears. My instrument is called the Xylodrum.

Accident story

"BANG!" The two cars had just collided, the burning flames lighting the night sky. Billy had no idea what to do; his brain was still processing what had just happened in front of him, right before his feet. He thought to himself, should I go get help or stay and help the victims? There was nobody around so he decided to go and get help.

The crash was in the middle of nowhere, literally. After a good half hour of running he finally came across the nearest building, an old warn down gas station. The closed sign was veering to the left and was missing the letter L.
Billy cautiously walked around the side of the building, his steps disturbing the resting dust. The flakey mud crumbling beneath Billy's polished leather boots. He walked towards the store owners back door, knocked three times and waited for someone to answer.

An old man, who looked like he was in his 60's, answered the door. The door swung open, the rusty hinges creaking like the mans old bones. He mumbled under his grey frizzy beard, "what do you want young boy?''

His face started changing! His teeth grew longer and got sharper. His eyes turned a dark red and he started to get bigger. His head broke through the roof and his finger changed to claws. He reached out and grabbed me!

I startled and sat straight up in my bed, it was just a dream.

Hiwi the kiwi

"Come on son, we're off!" I said to my little boy.

We hopped in the yacht. It was a beautiful day, the sun shimmering, ocean nice and calm. The perfect day to go fishing. I gave my son a life jacket and put on my own. I started up the boat and off we went. After about half an hour of sailing we anchored and casted our lines. Me and my son slapped on a bit of sunblock and lay back, waiting for a bite.

"Dad look, there's a fish on the line!" James exclaimed.

I jumped up straight away and excitedly ran to the rod. I took the fishing rod into my hands and started to reel. It was a big fish, I could tell by how long it took me to land. It took a good hour or so to get the beast on board. I looked at it, lying on the yacht's floor, and I said to James,"that's the biggest fish I've ever caught!"

"Dad, put it back!" James commanded.

"Why would I do that, this is a huuggee fish and we're gonna take it home for dinner!" I replied.

The fish was a golden red snapper. It's eyes were as black as the night sky with little shimmering stars. The fish weighed about 300 pounds and was hard to lift..

"It could be pregnant so you have to put it back. You can always come back and catch it or its children again." James argued.

"Ok, I'll put it back." I moaned

I picked the fish up with a wet towel and carefully released her back into the ocean. I watched the snapper swim away slowly and then disappear into the abyss. "I think it's time To go home now son. That's enough fishing for today."

We sailed back to shaw, hooked up the boat and away we went.

The Concrete Jungle

After 65 years it was time for the chimpanzee to return back to his home planet. He was awaiting his arrival. While he rested his ship was getting closer and closer back to his home.

As he breaks through the atmosphere and his ship's parachute flys out, he sees the devastating condition of what was once a city. He sees rubble of homes and office buildings from above. He sees vines taking over houses and trees growing through the cracks of roads. He sees decaying wooden homes. He notices some cars in the middle of the highway with their doors open, bushes over growing them. The earth was an unforgiving jungle of rubble.

The earth was a vast silent deserted jungle of concrete. It was silent other than the odd tumbling of pebbles. He could hear his own heart beating in time with his foot steps. He had the airy feeling of a pair if peeping eyes watching over him. He thought that he was the last one alive on this planet, he was right.

Sadness and loneliness filled his mind as he walked across the cracked, dusty ground.

Squidward Tentacles

Down under the deep, blue sea lives a squid that goes by the name of Squidward Tentacles. He has the most annoying, silly neighbours you could ever think of, Spongebob and Patrick. Even worse, he works with one of them at the Krusty Krab, a small, wooden restaurant.

Squidward is a mean squid. He's got a big, flabby nose on his bald, freckled head and scariest of all, his long, squirmy tentacles. All he wears is just a plain, brown T-shirt unless he is sunbathing which nobody wants to see. His job, at the Krusty Krab, is to be the cashier. He has to wear a tall, white hat, which he hates, for his job at the Krusty Krab.

"Good morning" Happily shouted SpongeBob at the top of his lungs."Go away!" Squidward viciously yelled at  SpongeBob. He was always selfish and cruel to SpongeBob and Patrick. Patrick, the lazy, obese starfish, lives under a boulder. SpongeBob, the squishy, square sponge, lives in a pineapple. Squidward tries and tries to keep them away but they just keep on coming back. SpongeBob and Patrick were monkeys on a jungle gym.

Squidward likes to play the clarinet but nobody likes to listen to him. He is useless. When he plays it sounds like a leopard seal choking on a kazoo. He likes to sunbathe in his blue speedos with a little bit of sunblock on his his huge nose but his favourite hobby of all is shouting at SpongeBob. He shouts
at him every day and night. Every second, you will hear him yelling at the top
 of his lungs.

Squidward is an angry, self-centered squid but really he is so lonely and miserable. All he needs is a good friend and he will be set. I think that He could be nice if he really tried and I feel that he is as mean as a shark but inside he's as nice as a flower.
